Try Hard to 'Stayin Alive'

'Instead of having the character dance randomly to ‘Stayin Alive’, it would be better to have him do the parody of ‘Saturday Night Fever’.' Feedback that I got.

So, video references were taken again. I also took the real dancing footage as reference to compare the dance move.

Little did I know this would become the biggest challenge in my animation.

I wanted to make the bad singer character a poor dancer and I wanted to animate it with a cartoony style. It was hard to make him dance awkwardly as I could not decide the key poses. Before I went further animating, I fixed this part by deleting keys and re-animate the dance.

I also tried to look for some animation and studies how they did the cartoony animation. Hotel Transylvania 2 is a good example.

Then, I tried to add in some exaggerated dance moves without following the video references exactly. The character turned out to be more cartoony and interesting.
